Time to freshen up. You treat your body to massages, exfoliation and moisturising treatments, but are you neglecting your face? A facial is the perfect way to deep-cleanse your complexion, rehydrate your skin and fight the signs of ageing. It also has the advantage of not requiring you to take your clothes off – making this a great pampering experience for those who are a bit body shy. How does it work? There are a wide range of different facials available to suit different requirements and skin types. Whether you are looking to get your glow back, moisturise dry skin or rid yourself of wrinkles, there’s a treatment out there to suit you. Not sure what kind of treatment your face needs? Your therapist will be happy to advise you on which products are best suited to your age and skin type. Now all you have to do is sit back and relax... Facials can last from 20 minutes for a mini-facial to an hour for a luxury treatment with face massage. During this time you will be asked to lie down and close your eyes whilst the therapist works their magic.

Electrolysis is a form of hair removal that permanently removes unwanted facial hair from the root where the matrix is. The matrix is where the hair gets its oxygen and food. The procedure is simple. A small hair thin like metal probe is slid into the hair follicle and a tiny amount of electricity is delivered to the follicle through the probe, which causes localised damage to the matrix which causes the hair to be distraught. For successful and effective results, each individual hair requires repeated treatments. This is because each individual hair has its’ own growing cycle called Anagen, Catagen and Telogen. This is not unlike the ‘cycle of life’ with Anagen being the ‘alive’ and growing stage, Catagen the ‘collapsing’ stage where the hair collapses away from its source of food and nourishment (the dermal papilla) and the Telogen stage where the hair is ‘tired’ and dying and disconnected completely from its dermal papilla. Successful treatment for electrolysis (and incidentally also laser and ipl) has to target the hair in Anagen to achieve optimum results as it is the destruction of the dermal papilla which is required. Therefore results are not immediate and take a little time… but electrolysis does work and it is permanent.

Endermologie is a cellulite treatment that involves massaging, rolling, and sucking at the skin surface to stimulate the breakup of stubborn deposits of cellulite. Also used to help stimulate blood circulation and breakdown of localised fat and help shape the body, alongside with reducing leg and back pain. Endermologie sessions include gentle suction with two active rollers, like 2 rolling pins, and a motorized vibrator massage of the skin. According to endermologie practitioners, as the thickness of the subcutaneous fat layer decreases, blood flow and lymphatic drainage increase, facilitating the elimination of excess fluid and fat cells. An endermologie treatment typically lasts about 35 minutes. We offer tights that are compulsory to wear during endermologie treatments. The price of these tights are exclusive with the package price. Endermologie is often used after a tumescent liposculpture procedure, to smooth the appearance of the treated area. During the course of treatment, patients are asked to drink two to three litres of water a day to help flush their systems and make sure they follow a good diet to fasten the process.
Swedish massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage. As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
